Tesco DVD Rental Review
Tesco dvd rental site, well the name pretty much tells you what it is doesn’t it except that in this case, they also rent computer games as well as dvds. The idea is that you pay a monthly fee to tesco and they lend you dvds by post. Like with most dvd rental sites, there are different levels of package that you can choose from according to your pocket and also how many dvd’s and games you want to borrow at a time.
Tesco has two different sorts of package. Their unlimited package range, and their value package range.
The unlimited range has 6 different levels as follows and allows you to keep the discs for an unlimited period without any extra fees:
Dvd – 1 disc unlimited £8.97 per month
Dvd – 2 disc unlimited £11.97 per month
Dvd – 3 disc unlimited £14.97 per month
Dvd & Games – 1 disc unlimited £9.97 per month
Dvd & Games – 2 disc unlimited £13.97 per month
Dvd & Games – 3 disc unlimited £17.97 per month
The number of discs is how many you can have at home at any one time but the unlimited part is how many discs you can borrow per month so in other words, you can borrow between 1 and 3 at a time, but repeatedly as many times per month as you want to.
The tesco value range has 3 levels and is as follows:
Dvd 2 rentals per month, 1 disc at a time £4.47
Dvd 3 rentals per month 1 disc at a time £5.97
Dvd 4 rentals per month 2 discs at a time £7.47
As you can see with the value range there’s no option to borrow games, and also you are limited to how many dvd’s you may borrow per month. With both sets of packages the postage is paid both way’s as part of the deal, but with the unlimited package it’s first class, and with the value range it’s second class.
With all their packages, there are no late fees, no contracts and you can cancel anytime. You also have around 56,000 titles to choose from on the site.
All the packages have a free trial available – with the unlimited range of packages it’s a 2 week free trial, and with the value range it’s 1, 2 and 3 discs respectively.
